About Us

Frank & Jane Brown, Owners

Otter Creek Farmstead is the vision of native Alabamians, Frank and Jane Brown. After being totally destroyed by the storms of 2011, they rebuilt the property in 2013 as a premier wing-shooting destination. They began entertaining private hunting parties during the 2016-2017 quail season and their hunting operations have grown consistently since then. In their free time, Frank and Jane enjoy traveling, hunting and fishing together and love the outdoors. Frank’s true passion is quail hunting, and Jane is a talented artist. They enjoy the art of hospitality and entertainment, and take great pride in making all of their guests feel right at home at Otter Creek.

CT Moorman, Director of Operations

CT Moorman, our Director of Operations, is an avid and lifelong hunter and fisherman. His love for the outdoors was instilled by his Dad at an early age. Originally from North Carolina, CT fell in love with the state of Alabama during his time at Auburn University where he played football and took part in the greatest rivalry in college sports. CT joined us at Otter Creek with his wife, Rachel, and their golden retriever, Palmer, in the summer of 2022. He brings his passion for all things outdoors, particularly wing shooting, to our team along with a dynamic skill set that we are so grateful to have.

Chef Dan Ottman &

Chef Susan Wilkinson

Dan Ottman and Susan Wilkinson are our unstoppable culinary duo. These two are the faces behind the culinary experience at Otter Creek Farmstead. Chef Dan is from upstate New York and has a degree in culinary arts. He has been able to combine his passion for the outdoors with his love for cooking by working at an impressive list of hunting and flyfishing lodges across the country. In 2015, Dan met Susan on the beaches of Florida. Susan is from southern New Hampshire and served in the Marine Corps before joining Dan in his adventures. They were married in the mountains of Nevada in 2018 and joined the Otter Creek team in spring of 2021 with their black lab, Eleanor.

Chef Chris Aiello

Chris Aiello’s love for food began in his family’s delicatessen; both his mother and father were indispensable in developing his foundational skills in cooking and instilled in him a passion for food. Through world travel and an insatiable desire to try the new, he continued his culinary education. Eventually, Chef Chris settled in Tallahassee, Florida, where he had the opportunity to make an impact on the fine dining culinary scene, and went on to become a personal chef to the Governor of Florida.

His wife and son are his biggest loves in life, and as a family, they decided to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. The Aiello family bought an RV, gave away their possessions, and began traveling the United States of America. Their seasonal travels afforded Chris the opportunity to work with award-winning chefs at five-star resorts and hunting lodges. The Aiellos are excited to join us at Otter Creek, where they can get back in touch with their southern roots and provide guests with a sensational culinary experience.
